NASHVILLE, Tenn. On Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, Medical Grand Rounds will present "To Screen or Not To Screen: Prostate Cancer Detection in the Post-USPSTF Era." Kelvin A. Moses, MD, PhD, FACS, Chief of Urology at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry and Assistant Professor of Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be the featured speaker.
The lecture will be held at S.S. Kresge earning Resource Center, Lecture Hall 2, from 12:10 - 1:10 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. “Needs, Priorities and Recommendations for Engaging Underrepresented Populations in Clinical Research: A Community Perspective,” a paper authored by researchers from the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance, was recently published in the Journal of Community Health. The article addresses health care disparities that result from underrepresented groups in outcomes research.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Trust and Privacy in Underrepresented Groups is a project being conducted under both the Genetic Privacy and Identity in Community Settings (GetPreCiSe) and the Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC) grants. The Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance Research Team is currently recruiting for focus groups, seeking thoughts and opinions on health research and researchers. The goal is to develop a Trust Scale specifically for biomedical research.
