Medical Grand Rounds to present 'To Screen or Not To Screen: Prostate Cancer Detection in the Post-USPSTF Era'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. On Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, Medical Grand Rounds will present "To Screen or Not To Screen: Prostate Cancer Detection in the Post-USPSTF Era." Kelvin A. Moses, MD, PhD, FACS, Chief of Urology at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry and Assistant Professor of Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be the featured speaker.

The lecture will be held at S.S. Kresge earning Resource Center, Lecture Hall 2, from 12:10 - 1:10 pm.

 

Objectives:

  • Discuss prostate cancer epidemiology
  • Review guidelines for prostate cancer screening
  • Discuss the implications of changes in guidelines
  • Introduce the concept of active surveillance for low risk disease
