NASHVILLE, Tenn. Meharry Medical College will host a live stream viewing of TED Med Live 2017 Nov. 1 – 3, 2017. The three-day conference will parallel various aspects of the TED conference, through networking opportunities and discussion panels. It will be held at the Cal Turner Family Center for Student Education, 1011 21st Avenue North, Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. For Alecia Fair, joining the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) is a culmination of both her professional and personal goals. Dr. Fair served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery with MMC between 2003 and 2011.
“I was previously a faculty member at Meharry Medical College’s (MMC) Department of Surgery on a U54 Cancer Partnership/ American Cancer Society project on abnormal mammography follow-up in medically underserved women,” she explained.

With two years left in her academic career, she certainly has time to determine such things. However, broadly speaking, she knows exactly where she wants to target her energies.
“I want to be focused on community engagement,” she says, “to address health equity.”
