Rami Hussien
As the Program Manager for Community Engagement, Rami Hussien guides and develops strategic community engagement efforts for the MVA. In partnership with the MVA Leadership Team, Rami fosters the sustainable development of community described solutions and community led engagement activities which support the elimination of health disparities and promote health equity for marginalized populations across the region.
Rami holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology/Pre-Professional Health from Austin Peay State University, a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health from Southern New Hampshire University, and recently became certified in Public Health. With nearly 15 years of experience in various health and social contexts, Rami is a proven healthcare leader with strong technical community-based, prehospital, emergency, and outpatient care models in both domestic and international environments Rami contributes skills of systems evaluation, community health intervention, healthcare project management, health workforce development, and community-based health system strengthening.
Rami is dedicated to the future of an equal and collaborative health environment for all in our communities. He is a staunch supporter of community health practitioner preparation, professional development/certification, and the integration of community health as component of health systems. He is eager to innovate sustainable development initiatives for health in partnership with the amazing teams of our component organizations and the diverse communities we serve.
