In October, we hosted the Fall 2024 Equity and Engagement Cafe, themed “Health is Wealth.” This bi-annual premier networking event is aimed at fostering discussions on health equity within the greater Nashville area. The event welcomes community leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers, faculty & students to network, learn, and celebrate successes in our community. 

The featured speakers of the evening included Dr. Wansoo Im of Meharry Medical College, Dr. Stacie Dusetzina of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and Brittany Mizell of Citizens Bank. After enriching presentations by the speakers, attendees engaged in a small group discussion revolved around a real-world problem, presented by community-based organizations.
